Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6) Pool & hot tub, lawn & natural meadows.

You won't find anything better if you want a Pacific Northwest atmosphere. You'll love this rustic yet tastefully modern cabin with its commanding views of the Olympic Mountains, a natural 1/2 acre pond, lush lupine meadows, a seasonal swimming pool and a year-round hot tub. This Log Cabin is the quintessential symbol of the Northwest.

Watch as the Bald Eagles dive for trout in the pond, or when the Blue Herons lurk for Blue Gills. Fish from the sturdy log dock, meander through the Lupine fields over to the orchard, walk or bike the trails and quiet road to the Olympic National Forest.

Inside this charming log cabin, you will find a gorgeous rock fireplace where you can curl up with a good book on the cozy couch-lounge. The kitchen has a full gas stove and oven, microwave and all the amenities for good cooking and eating, including staples and spices and many food amenities.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen, foam-pillow-top bed, tastefully amended with fine linens and quilts and an adjacent bathroom with shower.

In the upstairs loft, there is a bedroom with a queen, foam-pillow-top bed and one single bed. There is an additional plush foam mattress on the floor that is fully set up with linens and quilt. There is a toilet and vanity/sink.

NEW FOR 2017. EN-SUITE WITH A VIEW. Large room with excellent king size bed, desk, wifi, a single bed and a great large bathroom with shower. Adjacent to the Log Cabin, just steps from the deck. An additional charge of $80 per night.

Enjoy the sunny deck with a table, chairs and barbecue that overlooks Lupine Pond and a panoramic view of the Olympic Mountains in the National Park.

In the summer the large picnic table by the pool is an excellent place to enjoy meals and take in the extensive views.

The Log Cabin is one of three separate rental cabins on over 25 private acres. These secluded rentals are a haven for exploring one of the most diverse environments this continent has to offer--the Olympic Peninsula. (See our other VRBO listings.) The pool and hot tub are exclusively for the use of the Log Cabin. We, the owners, live on the property next to the Log Cabin. Privacy is so rare these days so we respect your dedicated yard, pool and outdoor space and do maintenance while you are away as much as possible, yet we are easily available for any questions or ways to enhance your stay-giving you the most personal service possible, if you like.

Only 10 minutes away are Sequim and Port Angeles, the world's longest sand spit, the ferry to Victoria, B.C., Canada and the Olympic National Park, where the road to Hurricane Ridge takes you to spectacular views of active glaciers in the Olympic Mountains.

Within 20 minutes you can venture into the moss-covered rain forest, enjoy a pristine glacier-carved lake, hike hundreds of miles of wilderness trails with crystal clear rivers and majestic waterfalls, be awed by the sandy rugged beaches, and soak in natural hot springs.

Whether you are a nature lover who likes to kayak, surf, fish, spot birds, watch whales, bike or hike trails, or someone who is in search of a perfect quiet natural setting, you will find your heart's desire.

The owners are easily available for questions, suggestions and anything you want but they leave you completely on your own unless you need something.

Beautiful View & Great Cabin

My wife and I recently stayed at the Log Cabin, and it was a wonderful experience. Very relaxing and well equipped with internet access, a pool/hot tub and a wood burning fireplace. If we’re ever back in the area, we’d definitely book this Cabin again!

Relaxing in a paradise

This was our second stay at the log cabin and once again, we all loved it. The pool is great, the cabin is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well-equipped. I loved looking out the windows at all the greenery. The mountains view outside is fantastic and sunsets are beautiful. We’ll be back next summer!

Amazing Wedding

Amazing Wedding My (now) wife and I used the Olympic View Cabin property as the venue for our wedding a few weeks ago. I don't think there's another place we've been to that could've been a better setting for the celebration with the people closest to us. We booked the entire property (all three cabins) for the entire week leading up to the wedding (highly recommend!). It was so amazing having our closest friends and family there leading up to the big day. Having the property for the week was great because we were able to ask Suzann and Martin questions all week, try different things out, and slowly set up to make sure things went smoothly the day of. Suzann is simply amazing. She's so welcoming and incredibly helpful and trying to plan for your big day. She's flexible in trying to let you create your day in your own vision, yet clearly knows what it takes to pull off a successful wedding on her property and will firmly guide you in that direction. Heed her advice! She won't steer you wrong. I can't say enough about this property, other than it's truly special - in no small part due to the incredible family that maintains it. We'll be returning for years to come.

Loved the cabin.

Its such a great property. Good size for 4 of us (including 2 kids). Martin and Suzann are such great hosts, they have stocked the house/kitchen with all the stuff that you would be grateful to find it here in case you forget to bring along. Loved the cookies they gave us and also spent some good time in the hot tub. Thank you so much. I came here for my birthday with family and came back with some happy memories.

June Wedding

We recently rented the Olympic View Cabins grounds and all three cabins for our wedding. It was really important to us to choose a venue where we could spend quality time with our guests, more than just for a few hours in one evening, and everyone could enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Olympic Peninsula. OVC was perfect! We had stayed at the Compass Rose house when we got engaged and quickly realized that the mountain views and wildflower meadows would be the ideal scenery to say our vows. Suzann was an absolute joy to work with throughout the whole process, going out of her way to make sure our weekend was perfect and helpfully reminding us of to-do tasks along the way. Suzann and Martin were around the whole weekend of the wedding helping out and putting us at ease. Our families stayed in the bigger cabins, (we really piled them in there) who all felt comfortable and enjoyed staying on site. A small note that there are ladders/stairs in those cabins that are best for the younger folks of the groups. We stayed in the Pond Cottage, which was perfect for us to retreat to when we needed some quiet time together. The flowers were blooming, the grounds were meticulously maintained, and the weather was beautiful! We really hit the jackpot with this place and recommend it for anyone who wants a relaxing wedding weekend focused on community and nature.

Lovely Retreat

Our family of 5 rented the cabin while visiting my sister that lives in the area. What a LOVELY place! The view out of the back is nothing short of amazing. The hot tub was wonderful, and the kids even braved a dip in the pool- we adults stuck to the warm hot tub! The house was nicely appointed, with every convenience necessary for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed spending evenings by the fire, playing board games and enjoying some much needed family connection time. I highly recommend the Log Cabin to anyone in the area, you won't regret your choice!

This was our second time being here and already looking to book our third trip in the future! You couldn’t ask for better views and location! Suzanne and Martin are the nicest people you could ever meet and rent from! The hot tub is amazing especially at night when the stars are out! They have everything right there for you for cooking and always around to ask questions about the area. I give it 5 stars and would never want to stay any where else while I visit Port Angeles

Beautiful real log cabin and property!

My wife and I brought our 4 children and we loved it. Kids slept in the loft and enjoyed how they felt like they were in Little House on the Prairie. Martin was very kind and accessible and turned the spa on and off for us in the evenings. By the way, Martin handmade the fireplace poker! We very much enjoyed visiting with that fascinating fellow!
