Cottage; Studio + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-5)

Nestled in a meadow overlooking its own private pond with a view of the Olympic Mountains, this small cottage has all the peace and tranquility you could want. You can lounge on the porch in your pajamas all day if you like, enjoying the pond and the Bald Eagles nesting in the nearby trees or enjoy easy access to surrounding trails and peaceful roads that lead into the Olympic National Park.

This hideaway is ideal for 2 people but can sleep 5. The main pond-view room has a single window-seat bed, and a sofa that converts to an excellent queen air-bed. You can cook with ease in the full kitchen, complete with everything, including spices and basic amenities. Up the ladder is a roomy loft with a memory-foam queen bed and a single mattress. You will find fine linens, towels, along with plenty of wood should you want to use the wood stove.

The Olympic Peninsula has more diversity than anywhere else in America. You can find almost anything your heart's desire. Ten minutes away are Sequim, Port Angeles, the world's longest sand spit, the ferry to Victoria, B.C., Canada and the Olympic National Park. Within 20 minutes you can venture into the moss covered rain forest, enjoy a stunning glacier carved lake, hike hundreds of miles of wilderness with crystal clear rivers, be awed by sandy rugged beaches and soak in natural hot springs.

Depending on the season a extra charge may be applied for each extra person over the first two guests.

Weekend retreat

Serene, relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life. Where one could just sit still and appreciate the stillness of time. As we watch the butterflies, ducks and deer graced through the backyard. Or cozy up by a camp fire gazing at the full moon listening to the frogs by the pond. The pond cottage was an idyllic place for us to recharge and take that moment to exhale. It is indeed a breathing space...

The perfect cabin getaway!

My husband and I LOVED our stay here! The cabin was beautiful and well-furnished, and we loved having sitting around the fire pit each evening. We spent four nights here to get away from Seattle, and went for long hikes each day before returning to nap and read. The cabin has a lovely window seat and one of us was almost always curled up there. I cooked all our meals in the cabin over the long weekend, and found everything I needed. We were told exactly which staples to find in the cupboard, which made it really easy to know what to bring along. Suzann was just wonderful to work with, and we can't wait to come back!

Our favorite spot on the Peninsula

My husband and I are Washington natives and have spent lots of time on the Peninsula but this trip tops it all. Suzann’s cabin was the perfect location for isolation and relaxation. We had grand plans of venturing out and hiking, but decided to stay on the property to explore, play games, cook and unplug. It was the perfect place to do so! Suzann's grounds are impeccable and her house was thoughtfully designed; large windows, bountiful amenities from the kitchen down to the wood stove, thorough instructions and communication and delicious cookies upon arrival to top it all off. We honestly wished we had stayed longer! The highlights included bundling up at night and watching the stars (Shut off all the lights inside, use the flashlight on your phone to navigate and then find a place to sit outside in absolute darkness, it’s breathtaking!), making a roaring fire in the cozy cabin, devouring almost 1000 pages combined in the reading nook and making some of our favorite winter foods while we played board games. If you’re looking for a perfect location for hiking or relaxing, I would heartily recommend Suzann’s place. We can’t thank her enough!

Soooo relaxing!!!

My girlfriend and I love the Pond cottage. This is our second year coming here and it is always a relaxing retreat. This sanctuary is our favorite get-away of the year and already look forward to coming back here next year. The owners are fantastic and make you feel like part of the family; from the delicious cookies you get to the help in getting your car brushed off after a snow storm. If you have never stayed here you you are missing out on a hidden gem!

Very clean, private - perfect. Will return

We had an extended day hiking trip on the peninsula and wished we had booked more nights in this lovely cabin. Suzann has paid attention to every detail - the cabin and grounds are meticulous. There is complete privacy without feeling too remote and access is easy to the park or the towns. The interior is so open and light thanks to the many large windows giving the feeling of being outdoors. Every evening and morning we enjoyed watching deer browsing by the pond. Suzann directed us to a nearby produce/grocery store featuring locally produced fare - suited all of our dining needs. We stayed at a few other spots around the Park but none could compare. When we return, we will definitely be staying here.

Wonderful private cottage

Wonderful private cottage looking out to a pond and field. One house situated behind cottage through trees hardly visible but still able to hear them when your both outside. The owner was amazing even provided homemade cookies upon arrival. We stayed an extra night we loved it so much. Clean and inviting we will come again for sure.

Perfect cabin in an ideal location

We had a great time at the Pond Cabin, and only wish our stay could have been longer. The cabin was a perfect blend of rustic seclusion with modern amenities. We enjoyed the views, wildlife, and firepit, as well as the internet and satellite TV. It was perfectly situated in an isolated location, with easy access to Olympic National Park and Port Angeles and Sequim. The quiet and stars were a welcome change from city life. The cabin was exactly as advertised, and the homemade cookies were a nice welcome. We can't wait to return in the future!
