Incredible Stay

Could not have more great things to say about the Compass Rose House. Me and 2 other friends spent 2 nights here and it was beautiful to wake up in the morning and look out at the mountains. The little pond in the back is also very serene. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need for a little getaway and the amenities are very nice. Suzann is very quick and responsive. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Amazing

Could not have been a more wonderful stay at The Compass Rose house. This is an amazing place! Suzann was quick to communicate and has thought of everything for this property and your stay, including warm cookies upon arrival! The home and location is so special. We absolutely loved the mountain view from the hot tub!

What an utter delight to learn another guest has loved our place. it is so important to regenerate and restore in an environment that gives us such joy and peace.

Secluded Getaway

My husband and I stayed at the Compass Rose House for 4 nights. We has a great relaxing time. The house is surrounded by a large field with trees rimming the field. It gives the feel of being very secluded while occupying an expansive space. The downstairs is spacious and comfortable. We had fun outings, but also enjoyed down time playing games with the wood stove burning. We also enjoyed Sunny Farms Country Store. My dad was a farmer, and my family owns a farm market in Pennsylvania which has been in business for 110 years. This store reminds me so much of our own family farm market that my appreciation of and familiarity with this "authentic farm market" was thrilling. It's definitely worth a visit.

What a delight to learn of these guests' enjoyment. This makes all the love and care we put into our places so worthwhile and rewarding.

Beautiful, peaceful cabin

The compass rose cabin is absolutely beautiful and the setting is so peaceful. My teenager loved the privacy and novelty of the loft as well as the fast WIFI. The kitchen was well appointed with anything you would need but there are also many great restaurants nearby in both Sequim and Port Angeles. The cabin was very clean. We enjoyed hanging out in front of the fire. Sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars and mountains was the absolute best. It was an easy drive to different places in Olympic NP. We hope to be able to stay again!

How gratifying it is to learn of happy and satisfied guests. It gives us faith that the love and care we put into our homes is really worthwhile.

Our family of four loved staying at the Compass Rose House. The property was beautiful, the house was super clean and well stocked, and we couldn’t have been happier or more comfortable with our stay. We had everything we needed to cook meals, play games, and relax as a family. The location is perfect and we are already looking to return for another vacation.

Highly recommended

The Compass Rose House is a unique gem of a house! From the open floor plan, great amenities, to the gorgeous acreage it is built on, it makes for a wonderful base camp to enjoy all the wonders the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. My son and I love it so much that we have been there twice, and are certainly hoping to be back soon. Remarkably relaxing place, perfect to rejuvenate and reload your batteries: close to nature in an elegant, comfortable, classy cabin. Suzann is very gracious host.

Perfect Getaway

The Compass Rose cottage well exceeded our expectations! From the mountain side views to the hot tub just a wonderful place. Full size kitchen with well stocked common items and pots and pans. Would have purposed here if I didn't already have a plan.

This is the perfect getaway spot near Sequim and Port Angeles

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Compass Rose house. Everything about it is lovely — the architecture is wonderful and the quality of construction, workmanship, and interior design throughout the house are stunning. There are plenty of terrific amenities (hot tub, cozy wood stove, barbecue, cooking supplies) and things were straightforward to use. The hosts were very responsive to questions and provided detailed instructions for everything, including the hot tub and checkout. Our walk around the meadow (in snowshoes) was fun and the natural surroundings are beautiful. I especially loved how warm the wood stove made the whole house—despite sub-freezing temps outside with lots of snow on the ground, we didn’t even need the heat after the first couple of hours. The house and grounds provide a perfect weekend getaway for a couple or family — we didn’t have kids with us but it could also accommodate them. This place is a rare gem.
