Description

Cottage; Studio + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-5)

Nestled in a meadow overlooking its own private pond with a view of the Olympic Mountains, this small cottage has all the peace and tranquility you could want. You can lounge on the porch in your pajamas all day if you like, enjoying the pond and the Bald Eagles nesting in the nearby trees or enjoy easy access to surrounding trails and peaceful roads that lead into the Olympic National Park.

This hideaway is ideal for 2 people but can sleep 5. The main pond-view room has a single window-seat bed, and a sofa that converts to an excellent queen air-bed. You can cook with ease in the full kitchen, complete with everything, including spices and basic amenities. Up the ladder is a roomy loft with a memory-foam queen bed and a single mattress. You will find fine linens, towels, along with plenty of wood should you want to use the wood stove.

The Olympic Peninsula has more diversity than anywhere else in America. You can find almost anything your heart's desire. Ten minutes away are Sequim, Port Angeles, the world's longest sand spit, the ferry to Victoria, B.C., Canada and the Olympic National Park. Within 20 minutes you can venture into the moss covered rain forest, enjoy a stunning glacier carved lake, hike hundreds of miles of wilderness with crystal clear rivers, be awed by sandy rugged beaches and soak in natural hot springs.

Depending on the season a extra charge may be applied for each extra person over the first two guests.

Perfect Place for a Retreat and Renewal

This cozy cottage was absolutely perfect for a time of reading, writing, and relaxing. Marvelously appointed. Loved the dining nook and the comfort of the window seat. Watching the geese and ducks on the pond was calming too. The wood stove was perfect for a toasty winter retreat.

It is so confirming to read a review like this. I makes us know that the love and care we put into our homes is truly received and appreciated.

Pond cottage

Our visit to Pond Cottage A mere 20 min. From home but felt far away from routines of everyday life. Very quiet and comfortable atmosphere. We celebrated an extended Christmas. Everything was well organized, with every possible need or convenience right there at the cabin. All we had to bring was our food . Very nice

How rewarding to learn of more pleased guests. This motivates us to continue bringing the love and care we do to our homes. It is so satisfying to find we are providing a beautiful sanctuary to rejuvenate and restore during these troubled times.

Our stay at the Pond Cottage

We really enjoyed staying at the Pond Cottage! We loved the beautiful and peaceful country setting. Suzann did a great job accommodating us. We appreciated the wonderful opportunity to stay so close to Olympic National Park. We will keep this place in mind for a future date😊

Gorgeous Location

Had a fantastic stay here at the Pond Cottage with my girlfriend. We loved the location and the numerous amenities supplied. The fully stocked kitchen was a luxury seldom encountered on vacation. Very tranquil environment, nobody else around basically.

Home away from home cabin!

This place is absolutely outstanding. We enjoyed this secluded cottage with its own pond that attracted geese and other birds alike. There's an out door fire pit that's great for gathering around while you take in the sparkling night sky. We made great use of the outdoor gas stove by grilling some delicious kabobs on it. The kitchen was stocked to the brim with all the cookware and dishware you can think of. There's even an array of condiments already in the fridge. So we just brought a bunch of food to be able to prepare and eat for our whole four day getaway! There's also a mini library full of info on pretty much everything you'd want to do and everywhere you'd want to go around the area. Including what we came for The Olympic National Forest. The location was super convenient for visiting that and the two nearby towns. We will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone interested. Four big thumbs up!

I am an addict!

I have stayed at both Pond Cottage and Compass Rose and I have had sublime experiences in both. The cabins are perfect as a jumping off point for peninsula adventures and Suzann is an amazing host. Both places are peaceful, cozy, and comfortable. I try to return 3 to 4 times a year.

Weekend retreat

Serene, relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life. Where one could just sit still and appreciate the stillness of time. As we watch the butterflies, ducks and deer graced through the backyard. Or cozy up by a camp fire gazing at the full moon listening to the frogs by the pond. The pond cottage was an idyllic place for us to recharge and take that moment to exhale. It is indeed a breathing space...

The perfect cabin getaway!

My husband and I LOVED our stay here! The cabin was beautiful and well-furnished, and we loved having sitting around the fire pit each evening. We spent four nights here to get away from Seattle, and went for long hikes each day before returning to nap and read. The cabin has a lovely window seat and one of us was almost always curled up there. I cooked all our meals in the cabin over the long weekend, and found everything I needed. We were told exactly which staples to find in the cupboard, which made it really easy to know what to bring along. Suzann was just wonderful to work with, and we can't wait to come back!

Our favorite spot on the Peninsula

My husband and I are Washington natives and have spent lots of time on the Peninsula but this trip tops it all. Suzann’s cabin was the perfect location for isolation and relaxation. We had grand plans of venturing out and hiking, but decided to stay on the property to explore, play games, cook and unplug. It was the perfect place to do so! Suzann's grounds are impeccable and her house was thoughtfully designed; large windows, bountiful amenities from the kitchen down to the wood stove, thorough instructions and communication and delicious cookies upon arrival to top it all off. We honestly wished we had stayed longer! The highlights included bundling up at night and watching the stars (Shut off all the lights inside, use the flashlight on your phone to navigate and then find a place to sit outside in absolute darkness, it’s breathtaking!), making a roaring fire in the cozy cabin, devouring almost 1000 pages combined in the reading nook and making some of our favorite winter foods while we played board games. If you’re looking for a perfect location for hiking or relaxing, I would heartily recommend Suzann’s place. We can’t thank her enough!
